Maha Monday Column + Video: His lukewarm interest & timing

At Chai Latte Diaries, a man kind of likes a girl. But maybe he’s not sure. Also, he might not be ready. Maybe. What should he do? If she is meeting suitors, then you have no place to engage her unless you throw your hat in the ring officially on a marriage level. That in mind, remember that you “feel unable or unready to be married due to circumstances,” but, you know, you “kinda” like her. How dreamy. I hope my future husband “kinda” likes me. By which I mean: JESUS. MUHAMMAD. AND MOSES. So very many blessings of love and light upon their hearts and souls.

Cold hard truth is that I am happy she ain’t sittin’ around waitin’ for you to make up your mind, brother. I respect that she is meeting other men and that one of them may in fact be her person.

Why? Because there are far too many – FAR. TOO. MANY. – men who sit around, mill about, hem and haw, and have this unbelievable sense of entitlement that the woman (or women) they
kind of think maybe possibly might be awesome will also be sitting on their hands waiting patiently. In a holding pattern defined by some men and not seeing to their own needs. Waitin’ for all y’all to decide. Waiting for Godot.
