Day two, book three. This is what I have needed, and more of this in the next while inshAllah.
I have been reading quite heavy literature this past while, so decided to pull things back and get into a slightly different groove this time in Montreal. It has been the right move for my brain, with only fresh fruit and vegetables as company.
Also, RC Cola. I bought it because I haven’t seen it for a while, and thought it would bring back childhood memories from Gaza. Let me assure you that it did anything but. How is this garbage even on the market? (I drank all of it.)
That aside, I have two wishes for you: May what is yours find you. And when it does, may you be ready to receive it with an open heart.
Today, I am grateful for:
1. Vietnamese grilled chicken. I started craving it last night and killed the craving for dinner.
2. Lily and the Octopus, a book about the love for a doggo.
3. That I was raised with both addab and 7aya, and that I do my best to behave within these perimeters, even when I want to string people up by their eyelashes.
