This is Denver. He’s a polydactyl baby, and very much Master of this home.
One of my favourite things about family time is the doing nothing part, the not thinking about anything part, the not having responsibility part; the cooking together part, the having tea part, the sitting quietly, next to one another part, knowing that you are safe, and sound, without expectations of anything more.
Today, I am grateful for:
1. My uncle’s hummus, and bbq skills.
2. That unlike the rest of Canada, Albertans say “hey” instead of “eh”. You are all manner of amusing, and I thank you.
3. Our backyard in Lethbridge. It’s where I have my morning coffee and listen to absolutely nothing while watching clouds roll past these fields.
